New Products for the New Year

A new year is upon us, and with it come new innovations and products. Here’s a look at some of the more intriguing new offerings for 2016:

• Smart gadgets for a connected home are popping up all over the place, and within this exploding market is the Delta Leak Detector. Basically, it’s a smart way to track your faucet’s performance and alert you if any leaking is going on. It’s placed directly under your faucet and if it comes into contact with any water, it alerts your smart phone through your Wifi network. Could save a ton on plumbing costs and headache medicine. Pretty cool.

• Innovation requires energy, which is why we recommend a good cup of coffee to see you through difficult projects. Health and wellness company Melaleuca.com has entered the coffee market with a line of gourmet Melaleuca coffee. We like it because it is small batch roasted, and there is an organic coffee blend. And yes, they have single cups that work with Keurig 2.0.

• Wireless earbuds are the rage in audio entertainment and communication, and Bragi Dash has some of the best on the market. These have been announced for quite some time now, but they are finally available for purchase. The offer true wireless audio via bluetooth and are even waterproof. There’s a lot you can accomplish efficiently when you aren’t fiddling with chords and wires.

• The Amazon Echo is a cylindric voice-activated tabletop speaker that performs well. And now, a smaller, portable version is headed our way. Voice-controlled hardware shaped like a can of Pringles? Sounds a little bizarre, but it works.
